. The 1st Cavalry Division deployed in October 1990 as part of
VII Corps
.

32nd
Armored Regiment
played an important role in Operation
Desert Storm
as part of the 3rd Armored Division. But followed the end of
hostilities
in the
Persian
Gulf, the
32nd
Armored Regiment stood down along with the rest of the 3rd Armored Division at
Fort Knox
, KY, on October 17, 1992.
